INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga and to encourage people to practice it. The day was proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, and it was officially recognized by the UN in 2015. The theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which means "Yoga for the Whole World." This theme reflects the belief that yoga is a practice that can benefit everyone, regardless of their background or culture.
